Realiza-se um breve percurso na História, destacando-se as definições para os termos gênero, feminismo e sexualidade, ressaltando-se as diferenças entre gênero e sexo, identidade de gênero e estereótipo, bem como sobre as regras de comportamento decorrentes desses valores. The present work appears as a possibility to rediscuss the role of the school and the teacher in the fight against sexist education, since the school space is contaminated by machismo, which constitutes a secret and silent code that shapes and discriminates the behavior of boys and girls, men and women, showing greater consequences in adult life, contributing to the rates of aggression, harassment, violence, murders of women, and prejudices that seek to place women in situations that are unequal, vulnerable and ínfero to the opposite sex. The school, because of its formative and normative character, because it is a space that privileges the constant search for emancipation, for the preparation of individuals for life in community, and for equality between men and women should offer their contributions from the earliest age, to to break the chain of transmission of androcentrism. In this scenario we have the figure of the Teacher, who is assigned the mission of educating and training for life, and he is the main responsible for proposing conditions and alternatives that have as their objective the search for gender equity.
